Jackie Ronald Austin

Jackie Ronald Austin (Boopa), Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, and Brother passed away peacefully with his wife and daughters by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Cordell Austin, and his brothers, James and Jefferson Austin. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 51 years, Marian (Joey), his sisters, Betty and Iris, his daughters, Emma (Rodney), Jackie, JoJo, Suzie (Lance), Patty (Tommy), and Stephanie, his grandchildren, Sean (Cristin), Tracie (Garrett), Tyler, Matthew (Heather), Michael (Chancey), Josie, Joshua, Jackie, and Jennifer, and great-grandchildren, Serena, Jamie and Joey. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends.

Jack was a railroad engineer with CSX Transportation for 47 years. He worked hard and loved his family more than anything else. Above all, he made sure that his family was taken care of. His sense of humor and sarcasm will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Wednesday May 31 at the Lakeland Funeral Home, 2125 S. Bartow Hwy, Lakeland, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1, at 11AM. Interment will follow in the Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
