Mom of Six
LAKELAND – Mrs. Vivien M. Pennachio, age 91, joined her husband Frank, sister Babe, grandson Aaron and other family members on February 5, 2021.
Vivien was born in Brooklyn, New York, on January 8, 1930 and moved to Lakeland in 1944. She had a lifelong career as a mom of six children who loved her dearly. After her children were grown, she enjoyed traveling especially to Italy. Vivien shared a love of baseball with her husband and later traveled with her sons to watch her favorite team, the Atlanta Braves, play in ballparks all over the U.S. When she moved to the Villas, she stayed active by leading her friends in daily water aerobics.
She is survived by her sons, Frank Pennachio, Gulfport, Dr. Michael (Marion) Pennachio, Clermont, John Pennachio, Ft. Lauderdale, daughters, Rose Marie Goodson, Tallahassee, Gerri Pennachio, Lakeland, Tina (Dan) Johnson, Tampa, grandchildren, Gary Goodson, Tallahassee, L.J. Pennachio, Tampa, Celeste Pennachio, Tampa, great grandchildren, Tony Goodson, Madison, AL, Piper Pennachio, Tampa and two special daughters, Sherry Pennachio and Vicki Crews, both of Lakeland.
The family wants to thank all of her caregivers and friend Janet for their love and special caring.
Due to the coronavirus, the funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Saturday, February 13 at 1:00 p.m. may be viewed at a link for the mass on stjosephlakeland.org. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Educational Foundation, 107 Allamanda Dr., Lakeland, FL 33803.
