Steven Richard Mueller of Lakeland FL, died unexpectedly on March 30th, 2021 at the age of 44. Steve was born October 30th, 1976 to Avis and Tom Mueller.
Steve grew up in Miami and Dundee, FL playing football and baseball throughout his youth. He then went on to play baseball and get his BS in engineering at the University of Central Florida. Steve met the love of his life Kasey (Lloyd) on a blind date in Lakeland in 2006. They married at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, FL on June 6, 2009. Steve’s love for Kasey was only matched by his love for his children: Austin (24), Colby (19), Brennan (9), Delaney (6), Delilah (3), and Decker (10 months). In addition to caring for his own children, Steve’s heart and compassion extended to many others as he also mentored young athletes. Steve was an avid sports fan and could always be found cheering on the Bucs, Rays, and Hurricanes. Whether in the backyard or on the mound, field, or court, Steve was an active dad and coach. Austin and Brennan continue Steve’s passion for sports and reliable friendship. His daughters inherited Steve’s warmth, passion, and silliness that always earned him laughs.
