Steve Jospeh Colgate

Steven Joseph Colgate, 60 of Lakeland,FL. passed on quickly and unexpectedly in his home in Lakeland, FL. the morning of January 5, 2022. Steve was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to his parents Steven R. and Rosemary Colgate on November 7, 1961. He is survived by his Mother, His brothers Jim and Dean Colgate, his sister Linda Hill, 10 nephews and 5 nieces. Steve is preceded in death by his Father who passed away only 4 months prior. He graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis in 1979. From there Steve went on to work many different jobs until he became disabled. He lived with his parents the last 20 years, was never married, and didn't have children. Steve gave all to those he loved, he would do anything to make someone's day. Sending cards every holiday and birthday, he treated his friends' like family and their children as his own. Everyone will remember Steven for his smile and his heart.
