Stephen Neal Bargamin, age 55, joined the Kingdom of Heaven on May 25, 2019. A devoted man of God who led with a Herculean heart in all circumstances, Steve’s legacy is carried on in those impacted by his heroic spirit, including and especially his wife, Kristen, and two children, Alexis Bargamin and Matthew Bargamin.

Steve was born in Winchester, Virginia, on November 8, 1963. He is now reunited in Heaven with his parents (Paul and Joan) and brother (Paul). Steve received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his MBA from Southeastern University. His notable accomplishments were achieving the #1 score of on the CPA exam in the state of Virginia, and earning an MBA while working full time and raising a family.

While attending UVA, Steve met Kristen: best friend, soulmate, and wife of 33 years. They were married on September 4, 1988, at the University of Virginia Chapel. The couple shared many fun adventures such as attending the Kentucky Derby, snorkeling, treasure hunting on sunny Florida beaches, sitting by the pool, and raising two intelligent, beautiful children. Steve was a sensitive and devoted dad who beamed with joy and pride over Alexis and Matt. His unconditional love created thousands of happy memories. Family was his #1 priority.

Steve’s loyalty extended to his work family as well. W.S. Badcock Corporation was his second home for over 15 years. He was dedicated to the people and business, and he took enormous pride as a manager and employee. He built his relationships on seeing the value in others, being an intent listener, and extending authentic compassion without judgement.

A skilled and thoughtful artist, Steve completed many masterpieces. He took great care in painting meaningful landscapes as gifts for friends and relatives. In his spare time, Steve was a Tampa Rough Rider. Ever compassionate and called to serve others, his favorite Rough Rider activity was handing out teddy bears at the local hospitals. He loved all animals, especially his four dogs: Cooper, Patty, Elsa, and June Bug. A lifelong learner, he enjoyed reading, studying history, other cultures, trains, and finance.

We celebrate and remember Steve’s legacy of unbreakable faith, Herculean heart, humble nature, and generous love and acceptance of others. Steve is a beacon of light for God’s love and will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. God takes the good ones and Steve was a good one.
