His notable accomplishments were achieving the #1 score of on the CPA exam in the state of Virginia, and earning an MBA while working full time and raising a family.
While attending UVA, Steve met Kristen: best friend, soulmate, and wife of 33 years. They were married on September 4, 1988, at the University of Virginia Chapel. The couple shared many fun adventures such as attending the Kentucky Derby, snorkeling, treasure hunting on sunny Florida beaches, sitting by the pool, and raising two intelligent, beautiful children. Steve’s loyalty extended to his work family as well. W.S. Badcock Corporation was his second home for over 15 years. A skilled and thoughtful artist, Steve completed many masterpieces. He took great care in painting meaningful landscapes as gifts for friends and relatives. In his spare time, Steve was a Tampa Rough Rider. Ever compassionate and called to serve others, his favorite Rough Rider activity was handing out teddy bears at the local hospitals.
