Shirley Janette Wooten

Shirley Wooten age, 71, passed away peacefully August 21, 2019 at Good Shepard Hospice in Auburndale, Florida.

She has battled Dementia for the last several years. Shirley had lived in Polk County all her life. She was a cashier at Publix for over 20 years; she was of the Baptist faith.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband John Wooten, her parents Martin Sharpe and Lillie Mae Sharpe, brother M.T. Sharpe, sisters Martha Matthew and Joneta Tolly.

She is survived by her Love for 25 years Charles Johnson her, son Gary Wooten, daughter Tammy Brick, grandsons Michael and Tyler, brothers James Sharpe ( Lora) and Johnny Sharpe (Gene), sister Mickey Bush, sister-in-law Hazel Sharpe, and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was loved by everyone she met she was a big hunter and loved the outdoors. Shirley will dearly be missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home August 30, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 am. Funeral Service at 11:00am.
