Robert Eugene Stowe

Robert E. Stowe, Sr. of Auburndale, Florida, died on May 9, 2020. He was born on July 12, 1925 to the late Martin and Huldah (Beardsley) Stowe in Naugatuck, CT.
He was pre-deceased by his siblings: Martin Jr., Clifford Stowe, Harold Stowe, Marilyn Curry. He was also pre-deceased by his eldest son, Rev. Robert Stowe, Jr.
Robert served in the Army from 1943 to 1945 in Italy and was awarded the Purple Heart for the Battle of Monte Casino. After an honorable discharge from the service, he returned to Ct.
A resident of Waterbury, Ct., he was a fifty year plus member of King Solomon’s Lodge in Woodbury. He was the owner of The Card Shoppe in downtown Waterbury for many years.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mila; his loving Siamese cats, Mickey and Mouse; as well as his children: Martin Stowe, Dr. David Stowe, Alison S. Trowbridge, and William Stowe.
