Ralph W. Hackett, 78, of Mulberry, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday September 14, 2020. He was born on April 24, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Anna M. Hackett (nee Kullberg) and Ralph H. Hackett. Ralph was the stepson of the late Martha A. Hackett (nee Cochrane).
Ralph graduated from John Bartram High School in 1960, and Spring Garden College in 1976, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a senior computer systems analyst for GE/Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, PA, where he retired in 1998 after 37 ½ years of service.
He joined the U.S. Air Force after high school in 1960 and also served in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard at Willow Grove for six years. Among his many interest were family, church, theatre, opera, travel, cruising, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with friends.
Ralph is survived by his life partner of 42 years, Jean Edwin Rabian; brother, William L. (Helen) Hackett, Sr. of Mulberry, FL; stepchildren, David (Leslie) Rabian of Wilmington, DE, Michele (Guy) Weidner of New Castle, DE; sisters-in-law, Cecile Wilson and Charlotte Rabian of Jamestown, NY; niece, Cheryl H. (Andrew) Pope of Lakeland, FL; nephews, William L. Hackett, Jr. of Crystal River, FL, Terence M. (Carolyn) Hackett of Copperas Cove, TX, Peter J. (Beth) Hackett of Union Commerce City, CO; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 9 great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
