Peter Lampa Villarete

Peter Lampa Villarete, joined Our Lord and Creator on March 18, 2022 at the age of 97.
Peter L. Villarete was born to Alejandro and Faustina Villarete in Mandurriao, Iloilo City,
Philippines on May 19, 1924—the 8th of 13 siblings. Peter was joined in Holy Matrimony
With Maximina Carton and were blessed with 6 children –Eliezer Villarete, Evelyn V. Mesa,
Ester Salvilla, Emma V. Ober, Elmer Villarete, Edwin Villarete. Peter is survived by all his children,
12 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.

A man of strong Catholic faith, who lived a life of purpose and dedication to his family. Beyond
being a great Patriach of the Villarete Family, Peter was also a World War II Hero and served
as First Sergeant of the Philippine Army, age 19 at enlistment. After the war, he pursued Radio
Communication course and worked as a Radio Operator for Visayan Stevedoring and Shipping
Company until his retirement.

Peter L. Villarete will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those who knew him.

The Visitation and Service of remembrance will be held at St Anthony’s Catholic Church,
820 Marcum Rd, Lakeland, FL on March 30, 2022 from 10:00AM, then the Requiem Mass at
11:00 AM. Interment/burial rites at Lakeland Memorial Gardens. Celebration of Life reception to
follow in Carillon Lakes Clubhouse, 3901 Carillon Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33811
