Patricia Josephine Simmons

Patricia Josephine Simmons, 86, of Lakeland Florida passed away on April 2, 2022.

Patricia was born November 15, 1935. She was one of 9 children. Patricia married Donald Simmons in Hixson Tennessee in 1954 and together they had 5 children of their own.

She worked in Nursing as a Ward Clerk at Osteopathic General Hospital in North Miami before co-managing the family business until retirement.

Patricia was a star basketball player in High School and instilled that competitive, never give up, attitude in her children and grandchildren. She loved gardening and being outside, there was not a weed in sight that could escape her grasp. She always rooted for the underdog and you could count on her to let you know how she felt. Patricia was one of a kind and we will all surely and truly miss her.

She is survived by her son David and his wife Myra, her daughter Pam, along with her 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

She’ll be reunited in Heaven with her husband Donald, son Michael, and daughters Lori and Donna.

A graveside service will be held at Lakeland Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
