Patricia T. Shaffer

Patricia T. Shaffer, of Lakeland, passed away at Lakeland Regional Health Center, on May 17, 2023. She was born February 1, 1941 to Vernon and Elizabeth “Patty” Thackrey.

Patricia worked for Lakeland Regional Health Center for over 20 years, retiring as a finance and budget clerk. She enjoyed line dancing with the Country Connections group, and enjoyed riding motorcycles as a co-rider.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Shaffer (October 31, 1997); son, Jeff Vernon (July 6, 1966); daughter, Karen Leigh (May 17, 1963).

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Kim (Rodney) Mank, Lin Whitaker, Leanne Sayles, Bridgett Hoilman; sons, Robert (Denise) Shaffer, James (Margaret) Shaffer; sister, Vicki (Doug) Wampole; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.

Patricia was happiest when attending any sporting activities, dance recitals, or band performance for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was very family oriented and loved family get togethers, celebrating the holidays, and family cookouts.

Services will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Visitation from 10 AM-11AM, service at 11 AM.
