Lakeland – Mr. Oscar D. Lindsey, 98, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 10, 2022. He passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside.
He was a lifelong resident of Lakeland and a member of Gapway Baptist Church. He was a heavy equipment operator for CSX and proudly served his country during World War II as a Corporal in the US Army.
Mr. Lindsey was preceded in death by his wife, Rozelle Lindsey and his parents, Mary Mae and Homer Adams. He is survived by his son, Dale and his wife Kelly and daughters Sharon and her husband David Munson, Sheila and her husband Timothy Sajko; granddaughters Stephanie Copa(Andy), Kendra Barley(Lee); grandsons Michael Flood(Kelly), Bryant Lindsey(Amy), Steven Lindsey; great grandchildren Jordan Lindsey, Levi Lindsey, Hunter Lindsey, Kapri Gordon, Claire Copa and Abby Copa.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 14 at Gapway Baptist Church. Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
