Ophelia Latrell Howard

Ophelia Latrell Howard, 79, of Lakeland, passed away November 18, 2018. She was born October 24, 1939 in Lakeland to parents William and Bernice (Roberts) Pate.

Mrs. Howard is preceded in death by her parents; her sons Greg and Michael; and her husband Gary. Left to treasure her memory are her daughters Rose and Kathy; grandchildren Latrell and Ricky; great-grandchildren Kira, Deja, Eli and Izzy; and her brother Dennis.

She worked many years as a heavy equipment operator in Lakeland's phosphate mines, but her number one priority was her family. She enjoyed spending time with them, taking care of them and cooking for them every chance she got.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 10AM at the Lakeland Funeral Home with a funeral service at 11AM. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Burial Park.
