Oliver K. Boyer

Lakeland – Oliver Kyle Boyer, 95, passed away on July 23, 2018. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was the beloved husband of Loraine for 64 years; the loving father of Olivia Kaplan (Dave); proud grandfather of Tim; brother of Bud, Gloria, Patricia and Beverly; brother-in-law of Marge; cherished friend of Sherry Vogel; adopted father of Colleen and Tom Steffes. Also survived by a world of friends.

He worked as a millwright for 30 years at General Motors. After retiring from GM, he and Loraine retired to Lakeland, Florida

He was a longtime member of Crystal Lake United Methodist Church in Lakeland. He was also a prod Mason. He served in World War II with General Patton in the liberation of Europe.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 3 p.m., at Lake Gibson Village, 771 Carpenters Way, Lakeland, FL.
