Nancy Louise Ward Elliott, 84
Born - January 16, 1937, in Lakeland, Florida
Died - Septemebr 9, 2021, in Altamonte Springs, Florida

As a proud, life-long resident of Lakeland, Florida, Nancy could not imagine living anywhere else. She was born to William Douglas Ward from Springfield, Ky and Helen Irene Johnson Ward from Loughman, Ky and was the first of four children.

She graduated from Lakeland High School in 1955 and was active in school life. She was acknowledged as a Senior Superlative, involved in the Inter-Club Council, an Officer in the Lionettes Club and a class officer in the Student Council.

After graduation she married William (Bill) Jennings Elliott and they settled in Lakeland where she became a bookkeeper for Watkins Motor Lines and they adopted two children, William Reed Elliott and Robyn Gay Elliott. They divorced in 1974.

Nancy continued her bookkeeping career at Nova Sales brokerage firm, and eventually took the brave step to begin a new career as a Licensed State of Florida Property and Casualty Insurance Agent. She was the manager and trainer for the Central and West Coast insurance agencies for Manasota Underwriters. In her semi-retirement she worked at Imperial Polk County Credit Union and MidFlorida Credit Union. Nancy’s working life was important to her, not only as a professional, but for all the friendships she made. She loved people and being social, speaking her mind, the Florida Gators football and Tampa Bay Rays baseball, and her family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Keith Ward (Cindy), sister Betty Hahn, sister-in-law Linda Ward, son William Reed Elliott (Karen), daughter Robyn Fodor (Andre), and four grandchildren: Trenton Elliott, Chloe Fodor, Noah Fodor and Lucca Fodor.
