Morace “Chip” Smith, Jr. 67, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019.
He was born March 30, 1952 in Alliance, NE. He retired from a fulfilling 40+ year career in publishing as the Vice President of Client Relations.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Smith, daughters, Jen Anderson (Nate), Laura Smith (Joram), Brittney Plumley (Jeff), Heather Wisenbaker (Ed), Lisa Cotterill (Tim), and Josie Cain (Ros) and nine grandchildren.
He was a proud alumnus of The University of Nebraska where he played football. He had a love of history, music and sports. He enjoyed relaxing on the beach with a Corona, laughing with friends and family while telling an old story and was considered the family wine connoisseur.
He is now reunited with his parents, Morace and Laveta Smith, his sister, Diane Waldbaum and his beloved Zoe.
A private celebration of life will be held on a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to your charity of choice in Chip’s name.
