Jean Scalise

On Monday, November 14, 2022, Mary “Jean” Scalise, a gracious and loving wife and mother of two sons, slipped quietly into eternal glory at age of 78.

Jean was born on January 30, 1944 in Florence, SC. Jean was the youngest of five children. Jean was raised in Hialeah, FL with her brothers: Edward, Benny, Archie and sister Ann. Jean meet her husband Thomas Scalise while working at a Burger King. It was an instant attraction for them both. Jean and Tom was married June 18, 1960 and raised two sons Vincent and Richard.

Jean was truly a wonderful and gracious lady, wife, mother and friend. She had a loving and joyous smile. She was affectionately happy, warm and outgoing to family and friends. She would extend a helping hand to all who knew her. Jean came to the saving grace and knowledge of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ while living in Jacksonville, FL around 1977. Tom and Jean were apart of the founding members of Family Worship Center, Lakeland, FL and remained member until 2003 when they moved to Lake Mary, FL.

Jean is survived by Tom her husband of 62 years, two sons Vincent and Richard; their two wives Kim and Mary; five grandchildren: Alex, Austin, Abbey, Trinity and Tucker; her brother Archie Rose and sister Ann Groden.

A celebration service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Lakeland Funeral Home,
Visitation from 11 AM - 12 PM, service at 12 PM.
