Karla Jane Ward

Karla Jane Ward (Nanny) age 68 left this earthly world on February 10, 2021 due to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. Ms. Ward was born in Huntington, WV but has been a resident of the city of Lakeland for over 50 years. Ms. Ward spent the majority of her life training, grooming and showing dogs. Specifically Poodles. Ms. Ward won many awards throughout her career as a groomer. Ms. Ward was also known as Nanny to many, She was everyone's nanny. She always had a child or several children in her care whether her own grandchildren, great grandchildren or one of her many adopted grandchildren. 
Ms. Ward is preceded in death by her Father and Mother Paul and Kathleen Jones, her brother Paul Rudy Jones and her son Kevin Ward. Ms. Ward is survived by her sister Kathy Cheatwood (Roy), Lakeland FL. Brother Russel Jones, Lakeland, FL. Three children Carrie Cline, Lakeland Fl. Jason Ward (Randi), Lakeland, FL. and Rita Witherington (Terry) Powder Springs, Ga. Guardian to Alicia Martell, Lakeland, FL. Grandchildren Timothy Evans Jr. (Melanie) Angela Cline, Armani Evans (Chanaron), Maxiey Rodriguez, Brianna Dittman (Jaelin), Zoe Jane Ward, Jason Brody Ward, Tara Witherington, Christopher Witherington, Dustin Witherington, Kahleel Sawell, and Faezon Sharp. Along with 15 great granddaughters and 7 great grandsons. 

Graveside service will be held Saturday, February 20th, 2021 at 1pm at Oak Hill Cemetery, 4620 US Highway 98 S, Lakeland Fl.
