Joan I. Kelly

Joan Irene Kelly, 79, left this world unexpectedly on October 18, 2021 having been called home to be with the Lord. Joan was doing what she loved at the time of her passing, cruising with her friends. Joan wanted to live life to the fullest and to the last minute. Her family is grateful that she was able to do so.
Joan was born on June 30, 1942 to parents Mildred H. and William D. Nicoll in Jersey City, NJ. Joan worked in banking until retirement. After retirement, Joan found joy spending time with her great grandchildren, dancing with her friends, and volunteering with Cornerstone Hospice. Joan loved all and lived with joy.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Ken, Bill, Wayne, and Donald. She is survived by her children Pat Gruber (Jim) and Robert Kelly; grandchildren Brian Maciorski, Rebecca Kelly, and Zachary Wesche; great grandchildren Laila, Damien, and Dawson; and her companion Tye. Joan was also loved by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at the Lakeland Funeral Home & Memorial Garden chapel. A celebration of life luncheon will follow.
