Jeffery Clayton Bowen

Jeffery Clayton Bowen, 61, of Mulberry, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Lakeland Regional Hospital surrounded by close family and friends.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Cristy Bowen, his children Jared Bowen and Nicole Ferris, his mother Gloria Bowen, his sisters Brenda Bowen Sifford and Angie Bowen McNeill, his daughter and son in law Stephanie Bowen and John Ferris, and his grandchildren Everett Bowen, Wyatt Bowen, and Leonidas Ferris.

Jeff was born on March 26, 1960, in Bartow, Florida to Clayton and Gloria Bowen. He graduated from Mulberry High School in 1978, where he was a part of the Future Farmers of America. He married his beautiful wife of 36 years, Cristy Bowen, on May 18, 1985, at Mulberry First Assembly of God.

For his career, Jeff was the Safety Director at Rubber Applications and a Real Estate Investor of 5 properties. Apart from working full time and managing these homes, Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved making knives, fishing, jet skiing, and traveling to see his family. Anyone that knew Jeff knew of his love of life and family. He always put his family first and was a perfect example of how to be a wonderful husband, father, and Grand Dude.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Willow Oak Baptist Church, 3390 Willow Oak Road, Mulberry, FL 33860. The reception will be held at the Bowen house immediately following the service.
