On February 28th, 2021, at Good Shepherd Hospice, James M. Anderson, Jr. passed away, surrounded by family.
He is survived by his wife Martha, of 65 years; 4 children, James Lee Anderson, Susan Anderson, Melinda Anderson, and Beverly Norona; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and two nieces.
Jim was born June 4, 1934, in Delray Beach, Florida and raised in Miami. He attended University of Florida, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Jim enlisted in the Army, serving from 1956-1959. He trained as a cannonier at Fort Hood, Texas. He was then deployed to Finance at Headquarter in Frankfort, Germany, where he finished his tour of duty.
Jim had a career with Allstate spanning 32 years. He was an Honor Ring Winner many times. He retired in 1994.
In the ensuing years, Jim and Martha lived in North Carolina and Florida. They enjoyed hobbies in boating, flying, RVing, gardening, golf and walking trails in North Carolina.
