James Edward (Jim) McCall, age 55, passed from this life to his heavenly home on November 1, 2020 in Reidsville, GA. He was born and raised in Lakeland, FL, where he lived his entire life.
He was a very successful Electro-Mechanical Technician in the Citrus Machinery Industry, and worked for Food Machinery Corporation, JBT, Florida Natural, and most currently with the Florida Department of Agriculture. Jim was an avid hunter, and enjoyed all things involved with saltwater fishing, boating and water skiing, and motorcycling. His big heart and soul were given fully to his family and friends, and his wonderful sense of humor and “straight shooting” nature were known by all.
Jim is survived by his wife of 27 years Christina (Tina) E. McCall; son, James D. McCall of Lakeland; daughter, Alana C. McCall of Bradenton, FL; James’ companion, Amanda Perry (Lakeland); Alana’s companion, Chase Kirk (Bradenton, FL); sister, Jean McCall and her husband, Banny Thorne (Lakeland); brother and sister in law, Bobby and Debra Elmore (Crestview, FL); sister in law, Terrie Elmore (Shalimar, FL); sister in law, Sharlot Mcintosh and her husband Warren (Panama City, FL); nephew, Steve Wagoner and niece, Margeaux Eddy; nephews, John and Derek Elmore; nephews Scott and Steven McIntosh and niece, Shelby Loe and their spouses; his most precious grandson, Caden James McCall and beloved bonus granddaughter, Savanah Champion; and many family members and friends.
A visitation will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home, 2125 S. Bartow Rd., 2:00 – 3:00PM on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020 with a funeral service at 3:00PM in the funeral home. A McCall Clan “scattering of ashes on the creek” will take place in Reidsville, GA, at a later time TBA.
