James Daniel Smith, 84, of Lakeland, passed away March 26, 2021. He was born May 20, 1936 in Fuquay-Varina, NC to parents Callais and Mary Lee Smith.

JD is survived by his wife Rose; children Debbie, Andy, and Sandy; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; along with other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 12-2PM with a service at 2PM at the Lakeland Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
