Hugh Lee Chestnut

Hugh “Bud” Chestnut, 88, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020. He was born July 25, 1932 in Lakeland to parents Albert and Mattie Lou Chestnut. He was married to his wife, Virginia Inez Chestnut for 65 years.
Bud is preceded in death by his loving wife Ginger; his parents; son Doug Chestnut; sisters Helen Roberts, Jo Ann Coleman and Maxine Humphreys; as well as his brother Albert James Chestnut, Jr and son-in-law John Thacker. Left to treasure his memory is his daughter Pamala K. Thacker; son James “Alan” Chestnut (Martha); 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his sister Ruth Seng.
Along with spending time with his family and friends, Bud enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He also spent time traveling whenever he got the chance.
There will be a visitation held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 11AM to 12PM at the Lakeland Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow in the Oak Hill Burial Park.
