Harry Lee Holmes Sr, 74, of Cookeville, TN – formerly of Lakeland- passed away May 1, 2018. He was born in Lake City, TN to parents Harry Bob and Lilly Myrtle Holmes. He is a Veteran of the Vietnam War, having proudly served in the US Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Walter and Tommie Holmes; sister Pamela A Monday. Left to treasure his memory is his wife Wanda; sons Harry L Holmes, Jr (Melissa) of Cookeville, TN and John F Holmes of Nashville, TN; daughters Robin Holmes Byrd (Melvin) and Charmane Burt (Daniel) of Lakeland, FL, DeAnna Alvarram Benitez (Rafael) of Dalton, GA; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Deborah Holmes Wells of Lakeland, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held 9-10AM, Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Harvest Assembly Community Church in Lakeland, FL with a funeral service at 10AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 230PM in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
