Hampton Dale Mann

Hampton Dale Mann, 96, of Anderson, SC, previously of Lakeland, FL, went home to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, August 19, 2018. He was born on March 10, 1922 in Pikesville, MD.

He leaves behind his wife Doris Mann, of 65 years. He is survived by his children Jim Mann (Tracy), of Anderson, South Carolina and Brenda Sattesahn (Edward) of Pampa, Texas; grandchildren Jason Sattesahn, Melissa Bittinger, Michael, McKenzi, Michaela, and Mason Mann; five great-grandchildren.

He served in the US Navy and fought in World War II. He worked many years as a plumber with various companies and before he retired he worked with the Polk County School Board. He was active in the churches they attended as an usher and served in the deacon ministry. He was a loving husband and father who showed kindness to family and friends and spent much time as a prayer warrior. He will be missed.

A visitation will be held 9-10AM on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Lakeland Funeral Home with a funeral service at 10AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
