Gricet Elfrida Rivera

Gricet “Grace” Elfrida Rivera, 68 of Lakeland, Florida passed away Sunday “Mother’s Day” May 13, 2018 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was born Sunday, December 18, 1949 in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Luis Antonio Borrero and Efigenia (Crespo) Borrero.

Grace was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and loving friend to those that knew her. She loved playing handball and doing outside activities (When she was young) Grace like swimming and gathering with her sisters and friends to enjoy a day at the beach, pool or park. She loved to cook and show others that wanted to learn to cook “How to cook”. She would do anything for you without a moment’s notice. Grace was a tremendously strong woman, who was devoted to her family and friends. She was a hard-working tenacious woman that would help no matter what her situation or condition was. Grace will truly be missed by all those she’s touched.

Grace is survived by her husband, Armando Otero; two sons, Andres L. Rivera/Arris S. Rivera (Daughter -in – Law), Robert A. Rivera; one daughter Leticia D. Rivera /Gustavo Grana (Son-in Law); three sisters, Anna M. Harrell, Evelyn Gavilanes and Carmen D. Carbone (Joe); two brothers, Rigoberto Borrero and George Borrero (RIP); six granddaughters, Antina S. Arteaga (Jimmy), Ariel V. Watkins (Jason), Andrele E. Rivera, Jamicia D. Rivera, Roniqua A. Rivera, and Carmen A. Grana; one grandson, Gustavo A. Grana-Rivera; two great-granddaughters Leira M. Arteaga and Nila S. Arteaga; two great-grandsons, Jael R. Watkins and Jhoel A. Watkins; nieces Alisa Jones (Charles), Serena Harrell (Roger), Jenny Harding, Eliza Carbone nephews; Jose Rodriguez, Jerry Rodriguez, Joey Carbone, Tito Massol; great-grandnieces: Naquasia Jones, Keturah Jones, countless of cousins; Linda Borrero, Marc Borrero, Alejandro Borrero, The Otero Family and close friends. Grace shared her love to so many people please forgive us if you weren’t mentioned please know she’d loved you too.
