G. Wade Jorn

LAKELAND—G. Wade Jorn, 79, loving husband of Valeria Jorn, step father to Beau (Vicki) House, and Michael A. (Jenna) DeCaro IV, passed away on November 18th . He is also survived by his grandsons, William J. House III (Jillian) and Jacob DeCaro; great grandson and great granddaughter, Hudson & Alyssa House; sisters Cheri Lay (Bill), Debi Jorn (Steve), and Wendy Jorn. Wade was born January 26, 1944 in Sturgis, MI and was predeceased in death by his parents, Carl and Beverly Jorn. Per Valeria, “30 years of marriage to Wade were the best years of my life.”
    Wade was a 1962 graduate of White Pigeon, (MI) High School where he participated in football, basketball, and track. He attended Manatee Jr. College. A proud U. S Marine Corp. veteran, he served in Viet Nam. Wade retired as owner of Cosmetic Auto Restoration and worked part time for 7 years as a Park Ranger at Legoland. He was a member of Southside Assembly of God Church. Per Valeria, “Wade was a gentleman, a great Christian example for Beau and Michael, and he was the love of my life. I'll join you at God's throne when He calls me home. Semper Fi my sweetheart.”

A Celebration of Life will be held December 6, 2023, 1:30 p.m. at Southside Assembly of God Church, 4750 Cleveland Hts. Blvd. Burial will be at a later date.
