Winter Haven FL – Everett R Wade, 84, died on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Winter Haven Hospital in the company of his wife, Dorothy Wade.

Ev was born in Herrin, Illinois to Dexter and Everett Wade. He married Dorothy Gulley on August 4, 1956 in Herrin.

Ev is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wade of Winter Haven, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church as a Deacon, ukulele, and choral music groups. He was also a lifetime 32nd degree Mason.

Ev proudly served in the U.S. Army, worked at McDonnell Douglas, retired from General Electric Aircraft Engine Group, and opened Wade Realty in St. Petersburg FL. His successful career allowed him to have hobbies including boating and then RVing. His most memorable trip was retiring and taking his 37’ Jefferson Cabin Cruiser by water from Cincinnati, Ohio to St. Petersburg Florida.

He enjoyed his family including visits home to Illinois and entertaining them in their Florida home. He was an avid watcher of game shows, playing Solitaire on his computer, and taking Dorothy to great destinations and elegant dinners.

A Memorial Service will be on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Hope Presbyterian Church, Winter Haven FL, at 11:00 AM. The service will also be live on Hope Presbyterian Church's Facebook page.
