Esther C Loftin

Esther C. Loftin, was born September 9, 1926 in Montezuma, Iowa to Roy and Elizabeth Sproul VanCleave. She graduated from Montezuma High School in Iowa. She married Kenneth Loftin in 1944. The couple has resided in Lakeland for over 50 years. She was well respected and loved by the staff and patients at Palm View Hospital where she worked for over 20 years in the business office. Esther was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was actively engaged in her family members’ lives and well-being. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching sports, cooking, and was an avid reader.

Esther passed away at the age of 91. She is survived by her daughters Bonnie (Keith) Uncapher, Kathy (Ronnie) Acorn and Susan Loftin; grandchildren Adina Uncapher, Chad Berg, Evan Acorn, and Ryan Berg. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her siblings Sylvia, Harold, Hazel, Arthur, Irene, Robert and Carl.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 1PM at the Lakeland funeral Home Chapel, with inurnment to follow in the Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
