Elnore Mae Howard died peacefully in her sleep at her daughters’ home in Lakeland, Florida on
July 13, 2020. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, Edwin Howard, her parents William and Gertrude Fruechtemeyer of Cincinnati, Ohio, and her beloved siblings Allen Fruechtemeyer and Jean Alice Fulcher. She is survived in death by her beloved daughter Ruth and husband Mel Neilsen of Lakeland, her brother Donald and wife Trudy Fruechemeyer of Cincinnati Ohio. She further leaves behind many caring nieces and nephews.
Elnore, or”Ellie”, as she was fondly called met the love of her life; Ed, in 1947 and they moved to their beloved state of Florida where they resided for 73 years. She was an elementary teacher and they moved from Coco Beach to the Colonnades where she reside for the last 25 years. Ellie was an active member of the Colonnades, where she served as a board member for years. She loved crafts, cards and bingo. She enjoyed her retirement with her husband, also enjoying time with her daughter Ruth and Mel, and loved the frequents visits from her sister Jean. She was a avid crafter and her handmade crafts shall live on in her memory.
She enjoyed life to the fullest, always a smile on her face, and an adventure awaiting. She will be forever remembered by her smile and love of life. Elnore will be laid to rest with her husband Edwin at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. May she rest in peace.
