Edith Dunn Taylor
Edith (Edie) Dunn Taylor was born March 23, 1929 in Trenton, TN to parents Sug and Mertle Dunn, and went home to the Lord on April 1, 2018, in Buchanan, TN. She is predeceased by husband Kenneth Taylor, and son Jeffery Taylor.
Edie is survived by her daughter Charlotte M Bradshaw (Jimmy) of Buchanan, TN, and her son Gary H Cook (Teresa) of Villa Rica, GA. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Three sisters, Charlene Walker, Glenda Zoff, and Rose Moore, several nieces, nephews.
Edie retired from GTE after a successful career as operator and supervisor. After retirement, she worked for Bealls Department Stores, making many friends.
Edie was a charter member of Lakeside Baptist Church. She was a very active member of the choir, involved in the nursery, decorating and several other committees. She was a member of the Imperial Rose Society, National Tennis Assoc, and the DAR Tennessee chapter.
Visitation with the family is on Friday, April 6 at 5:00pm to 7:00 pm. Services will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 7 at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
