Dorothy Lillian Prebor passed away peacefully on June 7, 2022 at the age of 93. She was born in Newark, New Jersey on June 20, 1928.

Dorothy was the daughter of the late Frederick and Harriet Dreutler. She is survived by her sister Rosemary Prebor and her children: Janet George, Victor III, Jennifer (Gregory) Forsthoefel, Kimberly Colbert, Darrell (Beth), Victoria, Vaughn and Dionne (Manuel) Jaime and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Prebor and step siblings Charles (Betsy) Caustic, Robert (Viola) Caustic and Irene (Dwight) Clark.

She was a long-time member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Lakeland, FL and more recently of Saint John Neumann Catholic Church.

She devoted her life caring for others, demonstrated by many volunteering efforts including: teaching CCD, Talbot House, Saint Vincent DePaul, United Way, SPCA, PEACE and many other charitable organizations and humanitarian causes. Humans and animals alike, she cared for them all.

A memorial Mass will be held at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, 501 E Carter Rd, Lakeland, FL on Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m. Reception to follow.
