Lakeland – Donald D. McCoy, 86, passed into his heavenly home surrounded by his loving family on October 3, 2018. He was a retired accountant for Owens Illinois Glass.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie F. McCoy and Ossie V. Eddy McCoy and son, Douglas A. McCoy.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margie A. McCoy and children, Lu Ann Perkins (Harold) of Elizabethton, TN and D. Craig McCoy (Diane) of Lakeland, FL; brother, Fay McCoy (Elaine) of Haines City, FL; sister, Doris Yost of Fairmont, WV, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Don was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. His hobbies were gardening, fishing and hunting.
The family would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice for their loving care and support.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., at Socrum Cemetery, 3125 W Socrum Loop Rd, Lakeland, FL 33810.
