Dolores A. Walker

Dodie Walker, 71, joined the angels in heaven on August 26, 2021 after a courageous battle with COVID. A native of Somerset, Pennsylvania, Dodie moved to Plant City in 1975, where she helped raise many precious children before working for McGinnes Lumber/Stock Building Supply. Dodie enjoyed life in many beautiful ways, including spending time with her grandchildren, sitting by a fire, tending the yard, numerous church related activities and letting her friends and family know how special they are through her own personal touch. Her humble generosity and caregiving nature was a testament to her unending selflessness. Dodie is survived by her brother, Robert French, Jr.; sister Barbara French; children, Ben and Wendy, and thirteen grandchildren from Ben, Wendy, and Jim Kinkead; and his children, Jamie, Ira, Betsy, and Josh. Services will be held November 27 at 1 pm at Hope Lutheran Church, in Plant City, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Hope Lutheran Church Building Fund, at 2001 N Park Road, Plant City, FL.
