David A Goodrow

David Allen Goodrow was born on November 17, 1942 in Weymouth, Massachusetts to John and Elanor Goodrow; one of nine children. David passed away on December 25, 2021 at home in Lakeland, Florida with his wife Christine by his side. He suffered from severe COPD and Parkinson’s disease.

David was in the US Army, and served in the Vietnam War with the 589th Engineer Battalion. He also served his home town community of Hanson Massachusetts as a Firefighter/EMT and Mechanic for 30 years.

He enjoyed the outdoors. He loved camping, snowmobiling, Nascar Racing, and going to the local tracks to watch his nephews race.

David is survived by his wife Christine, daughter Kelli (Joseph) Adams of Georgia, step-sons Thomas and Christopher McDermott of Massachusetts, grandchildren Davi Ann (Cameron) Gilpin and Deven Goodrow of Georgia, great-grandchild Cayden Gilpin of Georgia, brother William “Billy” (Linda) of Pembroke, MA, sister Mary (Thomas) Kearns of Halifax, MA, and Linda (Sam) Donovan of Bridgewater, MA.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Heatherwood Clubhouse in Lakeland, FL at a later date.

Christine will also take David to Massachusetts to celebrate his life with the Fire Department, Military, and friends at a later date.
