Christian Brett Berges, known as Chris, 54, departed his earthly life on June 28, 2018. His love for family, racing and motorcycles knew no bounds. Chris’s sense of humor was a treasure to behold.
Born in Neptune City, New Jersey, he moved to Lakeland in 1970. He attended Lake Gibson Schools, and was a fabricator/welder with Conibear Equipment for over 20 years.
Chris was pre-deceased by his mom, Christine Schmelzer.
Left behind to mourn are his father, Frederick Berges, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, sister Dottie Berges Norman of Austin, TX, brothers Barry, Dale, and Lance Berges of Lakeland, FL, and an extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Lakeland Memorial Gardens on Friday July 13, 2018, at 11 a.m.
