Carter Anderson

Carter Anderson went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2024. He was 88 years old.

Carter was born on February 6, 1936, in Dewitt KY to Floyd and Rosa Grray Anderson. As a teenager, Carter moved with his uncle to Ohio. Over the course of time, he began his career with General Electric and worked in the Aerospace division. While employed with General Electric Carter met Virginia and they were soon married on May 18, 1979. Carter retired from GE in 1989, and he and Virginia moved to Florida. In retirement years, the couple had time to travel to see family, and go to the beach. Some of Carters favorite pastimes were going to flea markets, trading vehicles, and especially riding his Harley.

Carter is preceded in death by his parents, and stepson, Randy. He is survived by Virginia, his wife of nearly 45 years, 3 sons, Floyd, Michael, and Philip, 2 daughters, Rose Marie and Kay, his stepson, Dan, and his stepdaughters, Linda and Judy, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A time of Visitation will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11AM. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
