Carol Jelley, 77, of Lakeland, FL, passed away January 25, 2021 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s and dementia. Carol was born in Ohio where she met and married her husband, Richard, of 53 years. Together, they had one child, Linda, who Carol considered her “greatest accomplishment.” She was a devoted wife and loving mother who always chose to take the most positive outlook possible when facing tough challenges. She battled her health conditions with bravery, grace, dignity, and very little complaint. She is survived by her husband and daughter and is her family’s greatest hero and role model.
Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, cat, and caregivers. The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers who loved and treated her like their own. You will forever hold a very special place in the hearts of her husband and daughter.
The family would also like to thank Solaris Health Care of Plant City and Lifepath Hospice for their good care and compassion.
Carol is preceded in death by her father, mother, sister, and brother.
At Carol’s request, a formal service will not be held. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Carol, please make charitable contributions to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Carol will always be loved and missed and forever be remembered.
