Betty A. Francis (1939 – 2021)


Betty A. Francis, 81, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on October 1, 2021 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born in Corning, NY on October 15, 1939, she moved to Florida in 1987 and married Erwin L. Francis on October 14, 1989. She was retired after working various manufacturing jobs. Betty was loved by her family and is survived by her husband, Erwin of 31 years; her two daughters, Wendy Misiak (Lakeland, FL) and Kathleen Burgess (Largo, FL); her sons, Gary Perkins (Altoona, PA) and Terry Perkins (West Valley, NY); her stepchildren, Debbie Miller (Lackawanna, NY), Jimmy Francis (Gainesville, NY) and Sandy Greene (Buffalo, NY); her grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler) Crosby (Lakeland, FL), Chere Burgess (Seminole, FL), Nathan Burgess (Largo, FL) and Ann (John) Steele (Altoona, PA). She had several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 29th at Lakeland Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens with the Pastor Gerald Justus officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to American Heart Association or Breast Cancer Research Foundation in memory of Betty Francis.
