Bettie Straughn Cutter

Bettie Straughn Cutter, 91, of Lakeland, passed away on March 7, 2024. She was born in Akron, OH on December 13, 1932, to the late Charles Straughn and Mary Lola Carter.

Bettie was the purchasing agent for the City of Lakeland until she retired. She faithfully attended Scott Lake Baptist Church, read her bible daily, and was a prayer warrior. Bettie volunteered for VISTE, delivering meals to the elderly. Words cannot describe the impact she had on everyone she met. Bettie was a strong, selfless woman who worked tirelessly to help others. She will be forever missed.

Bettie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Raymond Elwood Cutter and son, Matthew Carlton Cutter.

She is survived by her son, Ray Cutter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Scott Lake Baptist Church on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 10 AM.
