Barbara Jean Ray

Barbara Jean Williams Ray, 79, of Lakeland, passed away on November 29, 2018. She was born July 13, 1939, in Rocky Mount, NC. She retired from Publix Bakery after many years.

Barbara is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Hawkins; father, Edward Williams; grandson, Billy Ray; and her sisters, Nancy Liles and Donna Crabtree. Left to treasure her memory are her children, Debra Ray Sullivan (Hal), Bill Ray (Kay) and Kenny Ray (Donna); 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her sister, Peggy Butler (Pete).

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home on Monday, December 3, 2018, from 10-11 AM, with a funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
