Terry L Lute,65, of Leesburg, previously of Lakeland, passed away January 3, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice of Tavares following his courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 19, 1952 in Lakeland, he was the son of Richard Lute and Sandra Taylor Moye. On February 14, 2006 he married the love of his life after 10 years Nannette Armison.
Terry was a veteran of the US Marine Corp and after serving 4 years he went on to be self-employed in construction, remodeling and in the air conditioning business. For a time, he owned and operated a restaurant and bar in Lime Lake, NY. After returning to Florida he worked as an electrician and opened a restaurant in New Smyrna Beach for a brief time. He was currently employed as an industrial electrician for Crown Cork and Seal in Winter Garden, FL. Terry enjoyed spending time on the water boating and fishing and riding his Harley.
He is preceded in death by his father; a son Terry Lute Jr; and uncle Jack Taylor.
In addition to his wife, and mother, Terry is survived by a son Benjamin Lute of Tampa; a daughter Lauren (Lee) Burkhardt of Lakeland; a very special grandson Liam; brothers Larry (Susan) Lute of Lakeland and Don (Jamie) Lute of Myrtle Creek, OR; sister Vicky (Danny) Hughes of Mt. Morris, NY; a special uncle Don (Gale) Taylor of Lakeland; his in-laws Duane and Mary Armison of Franklinville, NY; sister-in-law Rita Armison of Corry, PA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday January 13, 2018 from 11AM to 1PM at the Lakeland Funeral Home, 2125 S. Bartow Hwy, Lakeland,FL
