Sara Williams

Sara Lee (Reid) Williams, 70 years old, of Green Cove Springs, Florida passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 in Lakeland, Florida. She was born to the late Charles M. Reid and Carrie E. Reid on January 2, 1954 in Henderson, Kentucky. She graduated from Rex Mundi High School in Evansville, Indiana. She was married to Harold Douglas Williams for 51 years.

Sara was a stay at home mom during her younger years, however, once her kids were grown, she loved to travel with her husband. Sometimes she would go with him for work trips as a long haul truck driver and others they would plan trips to see new places that work didn’t take him, like the Grand Canyon. A favorite spot of theirs was Gatlinburg, where they would always climb up Clingman’s Dome, eat at Mel’s Diner, and make the drive to Cades Cove in hopes of spotting a few black bears. As a devout Catholic, Sara was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fleming Island, Florida until the last years of her life, serving on the Council of Catholic Women and volunteering within the parish community.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Carole. She is survived by her husband, Harold Williams, her son Robert Williams and daughter Amanda Wagner (Matthew). She is also survived by her grandchildren Colton Wagner, Finn Wagner, and Dean Wagner. She will be greatly missed not only by her husband, children and grandchildren but also by her 5 sisters, 3 brothers, her brothers in law and sisters in law as well as many nieces and nephews.

Per Sara’s wishes, she will be transferred from Florida to Pierre Funeral Home in Evansville, Indiana for further arrangements. Dates and times for viewing, mass, graveside services and other details will be scheduled for the following week and will be posted on the website’s obituary once finalized.
