Ernest L Tanksley

Ernest L. Tanksley, 79, of Lakeland passed away June 24, 2017. He was born August 30, 1937 to parents Ernest and Estelle Tanksley in Cateechee, SC. Ernie retired from Watkins Motor Lines after many years of service.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife of 61 years Julia Edna Tanksley; sons Michael (Cindi) and Wesley (Yolanda) Tanksley; grandchildren Nathan (Kristin)Tanksley, Meagan (Mark) Montisino, Kayla (Brandon) McDonald, Chelsea (Sebastian) Carter, and Ryan Tanksley; great-grandchildren Haley, Madison, Bryson, Ethan, and Abigail.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11AM on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Lakeland Funeral Home, 2125 S. Bartow Rd, with interment to follow in the Lakeland Memorial Gardens. There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to River Walk Church of God, 801 W. 2nd St., Sanford, FL 32771 in memory of Ernie Tanksley.
