BERNICE D. CRUCE, 90
Mr. Bernice D. Cruce passed away on March 3, 2010 due to natural causes. He was born on January 25, 1920 in Perry, FL and was a Lakeland resident since 1948. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Eaton Park serving there as a Deacon, a member of Family Worship Center of Lakeland and a Veteran of the Civilian Conservation Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Bernice Edna Cruce, his parents, James & Ida Cruce , his sister, Mamie Carter, and his brothers, Ira J. & David Cruce. He is survived by his sons, Lannie Cruce (Charlotte) of Winter Haven, Donald Q. Cruce (Jane) of Stockbridge, GA & James B. Cruce (Karen) of Ocala. His daughter, Patricia B. Carden of Lakeland, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren & 1 on the way. A visitation will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A service will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Eaton Park, 3044 Atlantic Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33803. An online guest book available at www.lakelandfuneralhome.com
